A Maccy alternative that syncs with your iPhone

Maccy is a fast, simple clipboard manager, but it only runs on the Mac and keeps history on that Mac. Hotstash is just as quick to open (⌘⇧V, type to search) and adds an iPhone app with private iCloud sync. It can import your Maccy history, including pins and images, in one click.

Switching from Maccy takes a minute

  3. Pick Maccy's history file when asked. Your text, pins, and images come across.
  4. Quit Maccy, and set Hotstash's shortcut to the one you're used to if you like.

When Maccy is still the right choice

If you only use a Mac, want something free and open source, and never need history on your phone, Maccy is excellent. Hotstash is for people who want the same quick history on both devices, plus Paste Stack and screenshot search.
